Theres a much better implementation of this idea with the NYC Exit Strategy app. If Im on a platform and waiting for a train, it would be faster for me to pick the line and the station and determine which carriage I should be in based on the tube map. Having to scroll through a table of lines and stations is incredibly slow and inefficient.

Always used to pre-walk when catching the tube, but obviously only useful when you knew the exit station. With this its easy to plan the carriage in the minutes waiting for a train.

This is a great app! I use it all the time, and it is very easy to use and incredibly helpful! Highly recommended.

This APP made our travels very easy. The best part is the feature that directs you to the best carriages to board. It saved us a ton of walking and we made a few connections to other lines we would have missed. Great app.

Shaves minutes off of travel every ride and can make a huge difference for trips that require switching between multiple lines.

The good: It provides accurate information as to which carriages and doors to use in order to make your exits and line-changes easier. The outstanding: You dont need need to be on the ground and online in order to use it. So many Underground apps require an Internet connection -- absolutely useless when youve just learnt that there are delays on a line, and you have to plot an alternate route. The update: The old interface, where you had to plot your route by line, was clunky and counterintuitive. The update allows you to plan your journey by station -- a much more efficient method. I downloaded more than a few London travel apps before finding ones that worked well. This and the A-Z are the ones I use. Between them, they simplify my journeys on and beneath the citys surface.

I am an infrequent visitor to London and I find Tube Exits makes planning a trip on the underground very simple and straightforward. And straightforward enough for a veteran. Once a route is chosen, one even sees which car to get in and on which side one exits. Its clear that a lot of hard work and thought went into this app. And for an underground novice like myself, it removes a lot of stress. Also, one can use the given instructions to learn better how to plan on the paper tube map.

Convenient; doesnt need a connection so can always run the app

With this app and an Oyster card you will rule London. You pick your start and end station and it will give you a choice of routes. Ive used it for 3 years and its never wrong. It even tells you which car to get on so you will be lined up with the right exit for your transfer. Doesnt need a network connection either.

The creator of this app really did an amazing job in laying this out. Certainly a lot of work went into it. I used it for one week in London and it worked as advertised. I think the app is much better for the frequent visitor to London or a London local. I was so rushed with unfamiliar territory I didnt really have time to use it for every tube ride. Well worth the money.

Seriously the best money you can spend if youre the kind of person who likes to make every second count. Can save a minute or two on any journey and that adds up. And it continues to improve as well. Big fan.

Love this app because it works underground and not only does it tell you which car to pick, but also gives reliable estimates of travel time between stations. Indispensable for a daily Tube rider.

This app has the route planner capability, based on my prior routes instead of current locations. Its nice that it remembers your journeys, so if you go from the same station to the same destination frequently, you can just retrieve that route instead of searching again. But, we went somewhere new every day, so that was not helpful. Plus Tube Map shows me the stations close by, instead of having to enter in the station by name, along with the map view that highlights the route and stations along the way. And maybe I wasnt local enough to understand it, but I didnt follow the advice of which car to use for the exits - I was worried at first that maybe the door in the car wouldnt work or something, but not the case, all doors worked fine.
